A 2004 Cum Laude graduate of Southern University Law Center and former Moot Court Board Member, Mr. Smith began building his litigation foundation early. He earned his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University, where he made the Dean’s List and earned Academic All-SEC honors while playing cornerback for the LSU Tigers — developing the discipline, preparation, and competitive drive that still define his legal practice today.
After law school, Mr. Smith practiced with respected New Orleans firms handling pharmaceutical litigation and insurance defense. He later served as an Assistant District Attorney in Orleans Parish, prosecuting hundreds of criminal cases and trying numerous cases before a judge and jury. That experience inside the system gives him a distinct advantage — he understands how prosecutors think, how cases are evaluated, and what matters most to the courts.
In addition to prosecution work, Mr. Smith has extensive experience in criminal defense, achieving strong results for clients facing serious charges. He has successfully negotiated favorable resolutions, secured dismissals, and fought aggressively to protect his clients’ rights. This balanced experience on both sides of the courtroom provides a strategic edge when pursuing expungements.
For over six years, Mr. Smith has been affiliated with Frischhertz & Impastato while maintaining an active litigation practice. He regularly works with courts, clerks, agencies, and opposing counsel — ensuring that expungement petitions are handled efficiently and properly from start to finish.
